Shakuntala Devi was a child prodigy. She earned the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records for her talents. Shakuntala Devi, she just passed away this year (2013/4/21), at the age of 83 years old. Today’s Google Doodle is used to honor and commemorate her.
When she was 6, she demonstrated her calculation and memorization abilities at the University of Mysore. Surprisingly, she was able to do this without any formal education.
